BQA Training Settion 2 @ 6pm

Dear Fed Cattle Producers:

We are contacting you with some upcoming changes in the beef packing industry. Beginning January 1st, 2019 Tyson Beef Packers will no longer accept cattle from producers that are not Beef Quality Assurance "BQA" Certified. This applies to all Tyson Purchases including private country purchases, contract cattle, and auction purchases.

To comply with these industry changes West Point Livestock Auction is scheduling two BQA training sessions. The first session will take place on Wednesday, September 26th at 6pm and the second will be Monday, November 12th at 6pm. These sessions will take approximately 2 hours and will make the attendee fully compliant. These sessions will be conducted by Tyson Dinslage D.V.M. with the Nebraska Veterinary Services of West Point.

                                                                   Important Notes

  • *These changes DO NOT apply to feeder cattle or slaughter cow/bull sellers
  • *We fully expect the other major packers to follow suit with the BQA certification in the future.
  • *Without a certification on file at West Point Livestock Auction the Tyson Beef Packers will not be able to bid on your fat cattle.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 7st as we will be providing a light meal.

If you have any questions on this important industry change please give us a call (402)372-2493.
